The AIDS epidemic in Africa has been a health concern that has created a global health concern in recent years. Some of the numbers and statistics regarding AIDS in Africa are quite staggering and only seem to continue to rise. The AIDS epidemic in Africa has made much more of an impact on the continent than anywhere else on the globe. Currently, there is an estimated 22 million people who are living with the HIV virus in the African continent; this number constitutes about two-thirds of total amount of people affected by the virus in the entire world. More heart-wrenching is the fact about 14 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS. Though a may be argued, it can be said that African law itself is inherent to the particular cultures and tribes it governs.
